May saw us provide support at CYBERUK at Birmingham ICC. CYBERUK is the UK government’s flagship cyber security event, hosted by the National Cyber Security Centre. It convenes over 2,000 cyber security leaders and professionals each year for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.
The event opened with the spectacular CyberFirst Awards Dinner attended by world leading cyber security organisations including, Fortinet, Palo Alto, IBM, KPMG, BT to name a few. The annual dinner celebrated the efforts of many organisations to support the CyberFirst program, with key awards being handed out on the evening to organisations and bursary students for their efforts.
The main event opened on Tuesday morning at Birmingham ICC and was attended by a host of VIP’s and industry leaders. The CyberFirst North East education team supported the event by leading the student outreach along with staff from GCHQ and Elastic, which was funded by VIASAT. The team deployed their latest creation ‘Operation Enigma’, which is an immersive experience build around the work of the WRNS at Bletchley Park during WW2, this received wide praise and was visited by Anne Keats-Butler the Director of GCHQ.
