CyberFirst at STEMFest

We engaged thousands of Bradford children in CyberFirst and cybersecurity activities like CyberSprinters and Operation Enigma.

Thanks to Cummins Inc. for sponsoring the event and Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, for welcoming the students.

Operation Enigma introduces studetns to the history and techniques of codebreaking, giving them a taste of the critical thinking and problem-solving skills used by cybersecurity professionals.

On July 4th, we celebrated the first five CyberFirst schools in Bradford.  The schools awards were decided at our earlier Assessment panel where we were joined by Kieron Stone (Phoenixs), Zeshan Sattar (Comptia), and Mel Oldham (Bobs Business).

Nik Kelsey who presented their awards said, “It was a pleasure to meet so many bright students and passionate teachers! We look forward to supporting schools to encourage more students, especially girls, to take GCSE Computer Science and to provide industry engagement.”

Thank you to everyone who made #STEMFEST such a success. Together, we're shaping the future of cybersecurity education and inspiring the next generation of tech leaders.
